Adrian Mielke and Katie Boyer or Australian Truffle Hunters are hard at it with their 5 Labs. The awesome team of Labs work from Late May until September. The dogs work the rows rotating each dog through the rows so has plenty of rest, water and food. There is a big difference between a brief nosework exercise and a demanding job like this. Two of the team are the awesome Daffy Dog ( Ch Tapua Celtic Dream) and her Aunty Scrappy Doo - Tapua Heeni Teana. The girls are in their 4th year of truffle hunting. In their off time they are much loved pets and companions. The yellow Lab in booties in the clip is Daffy Dog.
