INVERGOWRIE LARA
A SOLID FOUNDATION
IT BEGAN WITH THE BEAUTIFUL INVERGOWRIE LARA ......
In our opinion the quality of the pups from any given kennel is based on the quality of the dams. For us Lara has been a huge asset to our Kennels. Purchased from Dr Leslie Levins from Invergowrie Kennels in the New England NSW in 2008 Lara bounced into our lives displaying keeness to please, enthusiastic retrieval and soundness of body. Her progeny speak to her quality as a producer for our kennels. Lara has produced 4 litters for us to different sires. Each litter produced 2 or 3 service dogs who worked exceptionally well for people with various levels of disabilities, 3 Australian Champions, and 3 obedience trial dogs one of whom competed successfully at the NSW State Obedience Titles. Lara has passed on her retrieval abilities as well as her brains. We kept and titled two of her daughters CH Tapua Celtic Charm and Ch Tapua Moonlight Serenade both bitches are of exceptional quality in conformation but also in retrieval ability and drive.
In our opinion Lara deserves a page of her own. In the dog world the boys get all the credit; we consider the quality of the temperament, whelping ability, mothering skill is passed on from mother to daughter. A good brood bitch generally produce good daughters who whelp with minimal interference. Certainly the sire contributes however a top quality sire with exceptional qualities in health, temperament and conformation can only moderately improve the progeny of an ordinary bitch. So we selected our foundation bitch carefully and retained females for breeding with the highest quality temperament and health traits and they are proving to continue their mothers effortless whelping and gentle mothering mother skills. Each bitch we have in our breeding program have low hip & elbow scores and are fully DNA profiled
NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE VALUE OF A QUALITY BROOD BITCH - ONE WHO IS SOUND IN TEMPERAMENT, STRONG IN MIND AND RELIABLE IN ABILITY - THEY ARE WORTH THEIR WEIGHT IN GOLD.
